Description: A fun whitewater freestyle
rodeo competition to
promote
this new and exciting sport and to provide
a
fundraising event for American Whitewater
Affiliation
and the Stonycreek River.
Philosophy: Fun participant friendly
event. An event for all levels
of
boaters. To show a strong presence in the sport
of kayak and canoe. To promote the use of the
Stonycreek River for
recreational dam releases.
Conservation
Effort: The
Stonycreek Rendezvous and Rodeo supports a
Stonycreek
River Recreation Fund, American
Whitewater,
and The Stonycreek-
Conemaugh River Improvement
Project (SCRIP).
